The desire to take part in the push for a cleaner environment emmerged when  husband and wife tandem, Edelweiss and Sean Gerard Villoria, watched the documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth," in April 2008, Edelweiss was so moved that she never stopped urging Gerard "to do something" about the environment. This went on until Gerard finally decided to focus on manufacturing Electric Vehicles in November.  

GerWeiss Motors Corporation is led by its founder Gerard, who has been manufacturing electric vehicles since November 2008. Personally, He has manufactured, with his original team, around 300 units since the December of 2010. GerWeiss is considered the leader and the pioneer of various models and types of electric vehicles in the Philippines.

The electric vehicle industry in the Philippines is still in its infant stages, and while we probably have the most experience, there is always room for improvement. We believe that when you stop getting better, you stop being good.  Thus, you can be assured that we will continuously improve our quality, design and price.

From our first generation model that is operating in Bonifacio Global City since late 2008, we are already developing our 5th generation of electric vehicles. The latest models will give you the option to use lithium-ion based batteries and European / U.S. Standard parts for the major components, giving the customers the widest range of possible options.
